Resume Strategies that WORK
Learning to write an effective resume is a
life skill most people ignore.
You cannot afford to have an
ineffective resume anymore!
So how do you position yourself to
be the perfect candidate for any company? Well there are tricks, but there are
also some steadfast rules that will make you stand out, in a good
way.
Only resumes that are well-organized, easy-to-read, and specifically
targeted will survive the cut. Here are some resume tips and
advice.
Make a good first impression-empahsis on all of your
accomplishments and your amazing skillset. And always be sure to place your
strongest acheivements at the top.
Your resume should highlight the RELEVANT job
experience. Yes, I meant to capitalize relevant. If you were a dog
groomer back in 1987, the hiring manager doesn't care. Unless you are of course
applying for a position as Chief Dog Groomer. If your resume looks grown up
and professional, with a focus on tomorrow and what you can offer an
employer, you will be one step closer to getting an interview.
Do you
have skills? Focus on the top 3 things you think any employer would want. Need
help with that? Let me be of assistance. You can always use the job description
keywords to focus on in your resume. That way you will look like the ideal
candidate they seek.
Aboveall, make it eye catching, with headings,
bold print and bullets.. but use all of the strategically in your resume.
